In this post, we will investigate how to model an evolutionary arm races, and more generally how to model a Red Queen dynamic at the population level. Diving into the population, for a specific locus in the genome, we will thus follow the life and death of alleles that are entangled into an arm race. In such arm race, the more time an allele is alive in a population, the more likely it is to die because the arm race left him lag behind, favoring new alleles that are more adapted to the environment.

ControverSciences

controversciences.org is a web site publishing collaboratively written synthesis of controversed topics, based on meta-analysis of scientific papers.

The website interface has been written in french, but if you are interested in hosting the website in another language, just let me know. The english translation of the interface is not complete, but already started.

MonPotager

MonPotager.org is an interactive website to plan a vegetable garden taking into account all positive and negative interactions between plants. The parasites attacking your vegetables can be held off thanks to repellent plants and auxiliary organisms.

The project, written in french, was initiated by Thibault Lorin. The dataset used in the application is available and open to suggestions, feel free to bring your knowledge :
